Hi all.. Sorry for the radio silence, a girl has been trying to get it together. Had a couple of bumps in the road but it’s not how big the bump but how you get over them (or something like that). So I’ve been into Halloween this year, I think its because my little one is all in. We did a couple of fun activities this weekend and I even got a treat by going to the Brooklyn Flea Market!
We all went to the gym and then to the Brooklyn Flea, for those of you that aren’t from Brooklyn or familiar with it, it’s an outdoor flea market in the summer in Fort Green and it changes locations every year in the winter. This winter it will be held in Crown Heights, check their site out for more info. This flea market is also Hipster Central so you’re dealing with some cool, creative people and a pretty laid back environment with kids and dogs and food. I love to go to the flea market to see what odds I can get especially if there’s anything I can gather inspiration from as well as snatching something perfect for my next or current project.
It was mid-century heaven in there and I wanted to pick up that chair and side table but there was a voice in the form of Hubs telling me NO! Next time I would be sure to leave his behind home. I did however, keep the wooden letters for my office… can’t wait to add them to the final stages.
Those Killim Rugs tho? Gosh I really wanted one….JUST ONE! And just because I wasn’t sure what to currently do with it doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t find a home or purpose for it later on! Alright just letting out some frustrations and justifications which I’m sure you can care less for.
After my adult tantrums we went to have some lunch at our favorite Vietnamese spot, Hancos where we had our favorite sandwiches and bubble teas.
On Sunday, we went to the pumpkin patch, we rode Macaroni the Pony and did some Halloween Arts and Crafts. Overall it was a good time spent and now I have to get back to work with some more projects and that thing that keeps coming up… oh yeah responsibilities is what the adults call it! (so overrated)
Sorry for the grainy pics, photography isn’t the Hubs strong point.
How did you spend your weekend? Any Halloween plans? Oh yeah and let me know if you want a tutorial on that Skeleton Craft…easy peasy!
