These are pretty much all the emotions I’ve been going through in making the decision to blog by weight-loss journey.
The questions that I frequently ask myself are:
Why?
I want to do this because I’ve been motivated by many women throughout social media who’ve had this very same journey and it has inspired me to start mine that is well overdue. Furthermore it leave extremely accountable for my sh*t!
Can I?
Of course this hasn’t been the first hoo-rah for me. I’ve tried this journey in the privacy of my own brain. I would go hard for quite some time and then give into cookie and her friends and play cousins.
So here goes everything, I’m opening up my journey so I can be accountable for my goals and maybe in the time being, some of you will inspire me and I can do the same.
This weight-loss journey has been in the works since I’ve shared my story with you a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been working out and going to the gym for the past 2 1/2 weeks and I gotta tell you that I’ve gained a lot of energy already. However the scale ain’t moving y’all, so I’m about to turn it up a notch.
The second part of this journey is my nutrition and making better choices and so I’ve also joined Weight Watchers to assist with my portion control. The way the Weight Watchers program works is on a points system. You are allowed a certain amount of points for the day and a collective amount of points for the week. Your daily amount of points are based on your weight and height and a few other factors. In my case, I’m 33 points a day and an additional 46 for the week. These 46 points don’t have to be used, but it’s great just in case you have a craving or you accidentally slip on a snickers bar!
Another piece that keeps me motivated is an awesome women’s Facebook group Operation Snapback, by Fatima from one of my favorite blogs Off The Potomac . It’s inspiring because all of the women have a common goal in mind and it’s a great source of motivation, workout techniques and healthy food recipes, OSB’s Instagram is fun too!
I’ll be back this week with some of my favorite moves that I do for my workouts and may have a guest of honor with me.
So here are my stats, although I won’t tell you my starting weight just yet, I will let you know my inches.
Maybe some time down the line I will let you know what it. I’ll take a picture of the scale as well so I have my receipts.
- Height: 5’6″
- Weight: 🙁
- Chest: 44 “
- Waist: 38″
- Hips 46″
So I made a video for ya’ll, I pinky swear that I’m going to do IT this time and it’s gonna be a hell of a ride, so stay tuned.
Please, if you want to follow me through this subscribe and stay tuned.

Awesome.I too have gotten back on my grind. I’ve been steadily losing weight over the past two years and that has helped with maintaining the lost but I’m ready to kick it in gear! We’ll be grinding together.
